1. Website owner

In compliance with Law 34/2002 of 11 July on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), users are informed that the website emili.godes.org (hereinafter, ‘the website’) is a non-profit cultural and family project owned by Família Godes / hereus d'Emili Godes, heirs of the photographer Emili Godes Hurtado (Barcelona, 1895–1970). You can contact the rights holder through the contact form.

2. Purpose

The website aims to disseminate the life, work and legacy of the photographer Emili Godes: biography, photographic catalogue, research texts and documentary sources. It does not offer commercial products or services.

3. Intellectual property

The texts, structure, design and code of the website belong to the rights holder or their respective authors and are published for personal, educational and research consultation. Photographs by Emili Godes are reproduced with an indication of the institution or collection that holds them and their reference number (MNAC, IEFC, Filmoteca de Catalunya, Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona, Museo Reina Sofía, Museo Universidad de Navarra and private collections). Rights in each image belong to their respective holders. Any use beyond personal consultation (reproduction, publication, commercial use) requires prior authorisation from the rights holder and, where applicable, from the institution that holds the original. Works by other authors included for comparative purposes in the ‘A modern eye’ section are reproduced at low resolution, with their source cited, under the right of quotation for analysis and teaching purposes.

4. Content removal and corrections

If you believe that any content infringes your rights, contains identification or dating errors, or includes personal data that should be corrected or removed, you can report it through the contact form. Requests are handled as promptly as possible, and corrections are recorded without deleting the research history.

5. Liability

The information published comes from research, family archives, heritage institutions and historical publications; where information is awaiting confirmation, this is indicated. The rights holder does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of all data and accepts no responsibility for third-party use of the information. Links to external websites are provided for information only; the rights holder does not control and is not responsible for their content.

6. Applicable law

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Barcelona unless applicable law provides otherwise.
